Music Instrument Sales Associate

**Job Summary:** We're seeking a skilled musician to provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to drive sales and customer satisfaction at Long & McQuade.

As a sales associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Helping customers find the right musical instruments and gear to meet their needs
  • Defining individual customer needs and matching them with our products and services
  • Demonstrating products and explaining their features and benefits
  • Answering phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Following up on product orders with customers and suppliers
  • Using our common sense approach to troubleshoot and solve customer problems
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of our products, policies, and procedures
  • Attending staff meetings and training sessions
  • Merchandising the store to create an inviting environment
  • Participating in store maintenance and other related tasks

**Requirements:**

  • Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights, and weekends
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and steady composure
  • Proven strong work ethic and commitment
  • High levels of energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to recommend solutions in a confident and assertive manner
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in retail or sales is an asset
