The Transit Group at Morrison Hershfield specializes in planning, design, and construction management for various transit solutions, including bus rapid transit, light rail, commuter rail, and subway systems. We are currently in search of a seasoned Subway Infrastructure Project Leader to oversee significant multi-year initiatives for our clients. This role may involve collaboration from client locations within the Greater Toronto Area.

This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of our project team focused on Subway Extensions in Toronto. As a project manager and technical authority, you will work closely with clients and advisory teams on this transformative urban project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Experience in transit station design is essential
  • Previous involvement with Metrolinx or TTC projects is advantageous
  • Developing and managing project budgets, timelines, and work plans
  • Engaging with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
  • Overseeing comprehensive evaluations of planning and design options
  • Drafting correspondence, reports, and proposals
  • Fostering staff development and mentorship
  • Assisting in business development and proposal submissions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • Registered Architect or Engineer in Ontario (or eligibility for immediate registration)
  • At least 15 years of experience managing large-scale projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven track record as a project manager for multi-disciplinary teams, particularly in assessments and design phases
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and external stakeholders
  • Experience in business development and proposal writing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration and leadership abilities
  • Able to work from a project office near key transit locations for three days a week (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
