About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Services Assistant to join our team at Thompson Park Mall in Kamloops, B.C.

Job Summary

This permanent full-time position involves performing various reception, administrative, and Health Unit Aide support duties including data entry, preparing presentations, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical supplies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Data Entry: Gathering, organizing, collecting, collating, and verifying information, typing correspondence
  • Administrative Support: Preparing presentations, arranging meetings, transcribing minutes, booking travel, and record management
  • Scheduling and Client Support: Scheduling and confirming client appointments as well as receiving, recording, and checking balances of cash transactions
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Maintaining and cleaning medical/surgical supplies, equipment, and HCIS resource material; cleaning, setting up, and dismantling rooms, cleaning/sanitizing toys and equipment
  • Healthcare Support: Weighing and measuring babies, calibrating equipment, vision screenings
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12
  • Certificate: From a recognized office administration certificate program, plus one year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current valid BC Driver's License
  • Typing Test: Completion of a Typing Test at 40 wpm dated within the past 24 months and must be issued from a valid institution only (NON-SUPERVISED TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED)
