Job Title: Medical Radiation Technologist

Location: Eastern Zone, Nova Scotia

Type of Employment: Casual Hourly FT long-assignment (100%)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
  • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology.
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification.
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
  • Previous experience in Diagnostic Imaging is an asset.
  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset.
  • Comprehension of technical language to review manuals and participate in discussions.
  • Competencies in other languages, French preferred.
