Bakery Department Supervisor Job Summary
At Loblaw Companies Limited, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Department Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bakery department, managing staff, and ensuring the highest quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Train Bakery Staff: Foster a positive team environment and provide guidance to bakery staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Manage Inventory, Ordering, and Stock Control: Minimize waste and ensure that the bakery department has the necessary supplies to meet customer demands.
- Ensure Compliance with Food Safety and Sanitation Regulations: Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure that all food products meet safety and quality standards.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor Department Performance and Assist with Budgeting and Financial Targets: Analyze sales data and inventory levels to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to improve department performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous Experience in Bakery Management or a Related Food Service Role: Proven track record of success in managing a bakery department or a related food service role.
- Strong Leadership and Team Management Skills: Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve high levels of performance.
- In-Depth Knowledge of Baking Techniques and Food Safety Standards: Understanding of baking techniques and food safety regulations.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, staff, and management.
- Flexibility to Work Various Shifts, Including Weekends and Holidays: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
