Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our trucking operations at North Eastern Trucking Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources, establishing financial and administrative controls, and formulating policies and programs to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Financial and Administrative Controls: Establish financial and administrative controls to ensure efficient operations.
  • Promotional Campaigns: Formulate and approve promotional campaigns to increase business revenue.
  • Human Resources Planning: Approve overall human resources planning to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Representation: Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions.
  • Supervision: Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Possess strong computer and technology skills, including MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure a safe and secure work environment by conducting regular criminal record checks.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and with attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a permanent position and 35 hours of work per week.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
