Job Title: Stucco Plasterer

DeCicco Bros. Plastering & Stucco is seeking a skilled Stucco Plasterer to join our team. As a Stucco Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and durable finish.

Work Environment

This role requires working at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions, and outdoors. You will be working on commercial and residential projects, with various locations and tasks to complete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of 3-4 people
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in the trade
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions, and outdoors
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
