We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to join our team as Vice-President - College or University at St. Francis Xavier University. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the academic and strategic direction of our institution.

Job Summary:

The Vice-President - College or University will provide strategic leadership and direction to the academic and administrative units of the university, ensuring alignment with our mission, vision, and values. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing academic policies, programs, and services that support student success, faculty development, and research excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the academic and administrative units of the university.
  • Develop and implement academic policies, programs, and services that support student success, faculty development, and research excellence.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to promote a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve academic and administrative goals.
  • Represent the university at national and international levels, fostering partnerships and collaborations that advance our mission and reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and university policies.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition to new policies, programs, and services.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to faculty and staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in academic administration, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with budget management, resource allocation, and personnel management.
  • Ability to represent the university at national and international levels.
