We are seeking a skilled Transmission Mechanic to join our team at Eagle Ridge Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues with mechanical units, including automatic and standard transmissions.
  • Repair or Replace Mechanical Units: Perform repairs or replacements of mechanical units or components, ensuring all work is done to the highest standards.
  • Test and Adjust Units: Test and adjust units to specifications, ensuring they meet our quality control standards.
  • Complete Reports: Record problems and work performed in detailed reports, providing valuable insights for future maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
Area of Specialization
  • Automatic Transmission: Experience with automatic transmission systems is an asset.
  • Standard Transmission: Familiarity with standard transmission systems is also an asset.
