Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at CP. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, servicing, testing, and repairing all systems on locomotives, mobile equipment, and vehicles used in plant, yard, and road service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in diesel engines and other mechanical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts
  • Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Red Seal certification in Heavy-Duty Mechanics or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
