PPT, a subsidiary of Centerline, is a fast-growing leader in the telecommunications sector. We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Field Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Manitoba.
Estimated SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 based on industry standards and the location.
Job DescriptionThis is a critical role that involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication equipment, including fiber optic cabling, microwave links, and wireless networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams of technicians, ensuring timely completion of projects, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:- Install and maintain fiber optic cabling;
- Manage and coordinate projects involving microwave links, wireless networks, and telecommunication towers;
- Schedule and supervise work crews to ensure efficient project completion;
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, inventory, and technical data;
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality work;
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
- Proven experience in telecommunication management, preferably in a leadership role;
- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunication systems, including fiber optic cabling, microwave links, and wireless networks;
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities;
- Physical stamina to perform duties in various weather conditions and at heights up to 300 meters;
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the province.
