This is a direct hire position, offering the flexibility to work 100% remotely from anywhere in the world. While we prefer candidates residing in Vancouver, we welcome talented individuals who can contribute to our mission.

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in machine learning and deep learning architectures. As a Chief Machine Learning Architect, you'll be responsible for defining and refining our modeling approach, balancing traditional methods with Large Language Models (LLMs) to achieve optimal results.

You will:

  • Serve as the technical lead in making architectural decisions for deep learning models, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Lead by example, working hands-on with datasets, EDA, models, and implementations in production, spending approximately 90% of your time on direct technical work.
  • Mentor team members and drive collaboration across departments.

$180,000 - $220,000 per annum based on experience, depending on location, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years' experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • 2+ years of technical lead experience.
  • Expertise in traditional ML techniques and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including hands-on experience with fine-tuning and applying LLMs.
  • Advanced knowledge of deep learning architectures and the ability to make architectural decisions that impact performance and scalability.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience in machine learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
  • The ability to translate business problems into structured data science tasks and effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
