Key Responsibilities

  1. Camp Preparation: Collaborate with the Camp Inclusion Coordinator to prepare activities and resources for children of all abilities.
  2. Event and Programming Assistance: Assist in planning and executing Sunday morning programs and family events.
  3. Teamwork: Work closely with other ministry leaders to develop strong relationships and achieve common goals.
  4. Camp Leadership: Provide individualized support and guidance to children with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and participation in camp activities.
  5. Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Camp Inclusion Coordinator to ensure seamless support for campers.
  6. Conflict Resolution: Address any conflicts that may arise between children and camp volunteers.
  7. Relationship Building: Foster meaningful relationships with campers and promote a sense of community.
  8. Post-Camp Assistance: Participate in post-camp evaluation and feedback sessions with staff members.
  9. Personal Development: Set and work towards achieving personal and professional development goals.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of our organization's mission and purpose for camps.
  • Compassionate and empathetic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead small groups and work collaboratively.
  • Experience in leading children/youth programs preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
