Mental Health Specialist

To be successful in this role, you will require a Master's degree in a health-related discipline from an approved post-secondary institution. Additionally, you must have recognized post-basic education related to mental illness and four years of recent experience in a related field. You should have a significant understanding of mental health issues, knowledge of applicable legislation, and familiarity with available programs and their functions in delivering care in the community.
Key Skills and Abilities- Demonstrate competence in caring for individuals with mental illness.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Prioritize and organize client demands and care needs.
- Physically and emotionally carry out the duties of the position.
- Operate a personal computer with various Windows-based software.
- Maintain a commitment to continued professional development.
