Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time permanent Security Analyst to support our Cybersecurity department. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our security operations and requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily monitoring of network activities and respond to security alerts.
  • Manage and maintain security tools and solutions for incident management and network monitoring.
  • Assist in the lifecycle management of user accounts and access controls.
  • Engage in data protection initiatives and application security measures.
  • Participate in vulnerability management and respond to emerging threats.
  • Facilitate security awareness training and conduct phishing simulations.
  • Contribute to project assessments and vendor risk evaluations.
  • Support the hardening of servers and network appliances to safeguard against threats.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Provide after-hours support for urgent security-related requests.
  • Assist in the development of enterprise security architecture and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices during the deployment of security solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification in Security+ is mandatory.
  • Proficient in maintaining enterprise infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record and background check is required.
