Early Childhood Educator Opportunity

At The Rec Room Child Care, we are seeking a dedicated and dependable Program Educator to join our team at our Long Branch location. As a Program Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive environment for Toddlers (1.5 to 2.5 years) and Preschoolers (2.5 to 4 years - up to the age children enter Kindergarten).

About the Role

As a Program Educator, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children in your care. You will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans and activities, provide guidance and scaffold children as they learn and grow, and maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of daily activities, including meals, naps, and behavior, and creating and implementing Individual Support Plans when required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years of employment experience working with Toddlers and Preschool children in a group setting. You will also need to be a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators and have valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED Certification. Additionally, you will need to be fluent in English (oral and writing) and have PR status. We are looking for a team player who is open to guidance from team leaders and supervisors, and who is comfortable caring for children using an emergent curriculum.
