We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at SimplySmart Child Care Centre & Montessori. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall well-being of children, including their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Lead activities that foster learning and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in activities that promote their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any challenges they may be facing.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements:
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Medical exam and vulnerable sector check.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
