About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of piping projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the VDC and sales team to provide accurate and constructible 3D BIM models.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to facilitate project review, kick-off meetings, and other essential job control functions.
  • Utilize engineering drawings to create precise 3D models and generate pad and equipment layouts, piping layouts, isometric and spool sheet drawings.
  • Perform thorough checks on drawings and Bills of Materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Travel to job sites to obtain precise field measurements and interact with customers as necessary.
  • Actively participate in managing the project life cycle to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of drafting/engineering experience.
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoPlant/Revit MEP/AutoCAD-MEP, coupled with intermediate computer skills.
  • Background in Power or Petro Chem, and/or HVAC/Municipal Piping.
  • Strong project management skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
