About the Role

The Department Head of the Hospitalist Zone will provide strategic and operational planning, and service leadership, in collaboration with relevant administrative Department leaders.

  • Responsible for administrative functioning of the department, including holding regular department meetings and providing meeting minutes to the Zone Medical Executive Director.
  • Work with Hospitalist Site Leads and operational leadership to ensure service continuity and key patient flow objectives are met.
  • Active member of the Zone Medical Advisory Committee, advising on quality of care and treatment, teaching and research responsibilities, and department objectives.
  • Responsible for organization and implementation of clinical and academic activities of the department, ensuring alignment with NSHA organization and system priorities.
