Aviva is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst/Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our commercial actuarial team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our actuarial pricing transformation initiatives and working collaboratively with all partners to drive profitable growth for Aviva's commercial insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pricing transformation initiatives across commercial insurance (Aviva Business & GCS) that align with overarching CI strategies, focusing on profitable growth, shifting the business mix, and embedding risk-selection criteria into pricing.
  • Conduct rate reviews for commercial products, monitoring trends, business mix, and changes in operational practices that affect commercial insurance performance, and communicate results to all partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Data Science to build and review predictive models, improving the accuracy of pricing algorithms and driving a balanced approach between technical considerations and business objectives.
  • Build positive relationships with key stakeholders at the head office and in the field, identifying partners' needs and tailoring solutions that enhance value for commercial insurance.
  • Develop and maintain regular monitoring processes, seeking improvement in existing methods and procedures to enhance effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Coach junior staff and act as a technical expert and mentor for analysts.
  • Participate in the actuarial community at Aviva.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics, or other related subjects.
  • Minimum of 3 years of P&C work experience, preferably in pricing.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 CAS exams.
  • Actuarial curiosity to learn and explore new solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical skills in pricing and predictive analytics, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and influence.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate methodology choices and implications to non-technical stakeholders.
