We are seeking a skilled and experienced AZ Driver to join our team at American Iron and Metal. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting metal materials to and from designated locations.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Operating an AZ-class vehicle to transport metal materials to and from designated locations
  • Performing multiple tasks in various styles of trucks, including tractors pulling end dump trailers and super roll off trailers
  • Shunting trailers in and out of docks
  • Loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and securing the load
  • Using a crane to assist with balancing loads in trailers or bins before moving the load as necessary
  • Performing manual tarping if necessary
  • Conducting routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck
  • Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • A valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
  • Experience driving 18-speed manual transmission
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ Driver
  • Physical fitness to hand tarp 40 and 53-yard bins
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as required
  • Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials is an asset
