Job Title: Local Truck Driver

ONTARIO INC. is seeking a reliable and skilled Local Truck Driver to join our team. As a Local Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within a designated area, ensuring timely and safe delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials within a designated area.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Criminal record check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Drug test.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willing to travel for extended periods.
Work Environment:

As a Local Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often in remote locations. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods and materials.
