Job Summary

Lakeshore Tree Farms Ltd. is seeking a skilled Farm Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of farm equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops using a variety of equipment and techniques.
  • Harvest crops in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high-quality yields.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery, including minor repairs and replacement of parts.
  • Operate a range of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products, including heavy machinery and vehicles.
  • Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage, and perform regular inspections to prevent breakdowns.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, including first aid and fire safety protocols.
  • Order parts and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, including cleaning and lubrication.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced agricultural environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The work site will be outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
