Job Title: Community Health LPN

At Edgewood Health Network Inc, we are committed to providing quality treatment for Canadians. As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will conduct comprehensive assessments of clients facing mental health and addiction-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide treatment management and guidance, while prescribing medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver client care according to the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan.
  • Formulate and implement client care plans.
  • Maintain current progress records on clients according to legal and ethical standards.
  • Decide and initiate on course of action in case of medical emergencies.
  • Provide supportive counselling to clients, families and/or significant others on typical recovery issues.
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment on the unit conducive to the client learning productive patterns of living.
  • Providing ongoing health teaching to clients in relation to common health problems and the clients maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Actively participate with team members in the assessment, planning and evaluation of the client and his care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses with pharmacological training.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse registered in the Province of Saskatchewan.
  • Knowledge of / experience with a team based person-centered care approach.
