Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Comfort Keepers Kelowna. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for conducting specimen collection, ensuring infection control, monitoring nutritional intake, and observing and recording medication's therapeutic and side effects. You will also be responsible for taking vital signs, providing safety and health education to individuals and their families, and providing nursing services within defined scope of practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct specimen collection and ensure infection control
  • Monitor nutritional intake and observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Take vital signs and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, judgement, organized, and team player
Work Environment:

Our team at Comfort Keepers Kelowna is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks. You will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
