Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Calibration Chemist - Metrology to join our team at SGS Canada. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our calibration and metrology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibration and Metrology: Ensure all equipment is calibrated and qualified according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Instrumentation Management: Troubleshoot instrumentation issues, perform preventative maintenance, and develop calibration procedures.
  • Qualification and Validation: Develop and execute qualification protocols, including IQ, OQ, and PQ documents.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of calibration and metrology services.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related biological science.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of relevant pharmaceutical lab experience with emphasis on instrumental methods.
  • Skills: Prior technical experience in a bio/chemistry related role, experience working in a regulated laboratory environment, and implementation and support experience with laboratory instrumentation.
