About the Role:
Milton Halal Meat is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Retail Butcher, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
- Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
- Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Remove bones from meat
- Weigh meats for sale
- Cut poultry into parts
- Price meat products
- Grind meats
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Standing for extended periods
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye coordination
Asset Languages:
- Urdu
- Panjabi; Punjabi
Work Setting:
- Butcher shop
- Supermarket/grocery store
Cuisine Specialties:
- Halal
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
- Manual cutting utensil
