About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Station Manager to lead our Amazon Logistics Delivery Station team in Edmonton, AB, CAN. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving vision, creating quality initiatives, and problem-solving to meet and exceed business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and people development for all delivery station operations.
  • Drive vision for station team and create quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and lean initiatives to enable functional area and DS to meet and exceed business plan.
  • Problem-solve for closing gaps between performance and goals.
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations, Area, and Shift Managers. Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for their performance and departmental performance.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
  • Present operational metrics regularly to senior leadership team.
  • Hire and develop top talent. Create and implement talent plan for site including talent acquisition, performance, and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Leverage Operations, Area, and Shift Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into creation of improvement plans for functional area.
  • Cultivate strong culture and engagement throughout all levels of delivery station team.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among network.
  • Work with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, and Engineering to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree from accredited university or 2+ years' Amazon work experience.
  • 7+ years' direct management experience, including salaried, hourly, and agency workforce, in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production, or distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering performance and financial based results in high-pressure environments.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and lean techniques.
  • Experience with full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
  • Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for variety of operational problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (including local language and English, written and verbal).
  • Experience managing third-party resources on regional/national scale.
  • Experience managing contingent workforce in business with peak seasons.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
