Job Overview:

Startec Refrigeration Service is seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our team at our Calgary office. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for securing HVAC service, maintenance, retrofits, and contract agreements with new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities within key product offerings.
  • Utilize proven sales methods to identify and solicit potential clients.
  • Prepare estimates, including parts and equipment sourcing.
  • Deliver Startec quotations and proposals for new and renewal of service agreements.
  • Log and record all sales opportunities within the CRM system.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Participate in job kick-off meetings with the Service HVAC Coordinator and mechanics.
  • Create long-term customer relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Communicate regularly with all current clients and advise relevant stakeholders of any complaints, issues, or performance challenges identified through client conversations.

Operational Support:

  • Provide weekly Sales Reports to the Sales Team detailing services sold, quotes issued, sales pending, etc.
  • Log and record all sales opportunities within the CRM system and follow up on the status.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Technologist, EIT, HVAC Technician, or equivalent experience in commercial HVAC service.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in a trade role and/or 3 - 5 years of sales experience.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in the commercial HVAC industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, components, and applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
