About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at HearCANADA. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's goals and objectives by providing strategic HR guidance and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  1. HR Program Development

Design and implement HR programs, policies, and practices to support company-wide goals and objectives, including training, benefits administration, performance management, and health and safety.

Employee Relations Support

Act as an HR expert on people matters, including multi-province employment standards interpretation to mitigate risk, and collaborate with external counsel and senior HR leadership as required for complex cases.

HR Reporting and Analytics

Collaborate closely with Finance and other subject matter experts to create and maintain HR reporting metrics to provide critical business information for senior management.

Change Management

Act as a change agent, guiding the business and people through various change management initiatives, including merger and acquisition activities, as the organization grows and evolves.

Talent Acquisition and Retention

Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on talent attraction and retention initiatives.

HR Policy Execution

Coach and guide business leaders on the execution of HR policies and programs.

HR Initiatives and Projects

Execute the organization's HR initiatives, providing exceptional customer service and driving process improvement.

Culture Champion

Be a culture champion by building meaningful programs for the organization with the goal of engaging and recognizing employees.

Employee Feedback and Engagement

Partner with the greater HR team to review employee feedback from various sources, including engagement surveys, exit interviews, and external reviews.

Health and Safety

Lead health and safety initiatives and collaborate closely with the Training & Development and Quality teams on projects related to compliance, content, and audits.

HR Landscape and Best Practices

Stay abreast of changes in the Human Resources landscape and bring forward new initiatives to the greater HR team.

Requirements
  1. Education

Completion of post-secondary education, ideally at a Bachelor's degree level.

HR Designation

CHRP or CHRP in process (or equivalent HR designation).

Experience

5+ years of experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a full-cycle HR capacity.

Language Skills

Bilingual in English & French would be an asset.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledgeable of Human Resources best practices, regulations, and legislative change.

Multi-Province Experience

Exposure to multi-province HR legislation is strongly preferred.

Tools and Technology

Experience leveraging tools such as Microsoft Excel (or other BI tools) to calculate costing related to severance.

Mergers and Acquisitions

Exposure to mergers and/or acquisitions and supporting HR initiatives related to these activities.

Interpersonal and Relationship Building Skills

Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills with proven ability to influence and negotiate, collaborate, defuse/reconcile, and remedy all stakeholder issues.

HRIS and Technology

Comfortability in leveraging various tools including MS Office Suite and HRIS programs (bonus for experience with SuccessFactors, DayForce).
