About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team at West Coast Floor Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweepers, carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, waxing machines, steam cleaners, and power tools to perform various cleaning tasks.
  • Trash and Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all areas are kept clean and free of debris.
  • Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Physical Demands: Work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
Work Environment

Work in a variety of locations, including offices, schools, and other facilities.
