About the Role

Telesat is seeking a highly skilled Senior Integration and Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining system verification and validation plans for our Telesat LEO constellation communication system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system verification and validation plans for the Telesat LEO constellation communication system.
  • Participate in system level testing activities, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and participate in testing activities with vendors and other partners.
  • Maintain lab setups and support field activities as required.
  • Configure test equipment, such as satellite link emulators, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and traffic generators.
  • Ensure the product under test meets technical, functional, performance, and business requirements.
  • Work with partners and vendors in various test campaigns.
Requirements
  • Sc. in Electrical, Computer, or System Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in satellite communications.
  • Strong exposure to modulation and coding used in modern satellite communication standards.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, IP, and routing protocols.
  • Demonstrated understanding of air interfaces, modem technologies, modulation, and coding, and its impact on satellite link performance.
  • Experience in test case and defect tracking tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management, engineering teams, and partners/suppliers.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Proficient with MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • Automation experience with programming languages like Python.
