At AppleOne, we are seeking a Compliance Risk Specialist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a well-established Insurance Company in the Hamilton area.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct compliance assessments for regulatory business requirements, processes, and risks.
Ensure necessary certification and audit controls are assessed and provide direction as needed.
Coordinate and perform risk assessments, monitoring, and testing to ensure adherence to internal compliance policy and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or related program and related systems experience.
Minimum 1 year of compliance-related experience with preference for insurance industry. Financial services will also be considered.
Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
Knowledge of compliance such as insurance regulations, privacy, and anti-money laundering would be an asset.
Ability to understand technical documents and legal/regulatory reference materials.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Professional attitude and high ethical standards.
