Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Mills Memorial Hospital. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to an assigned group of patients/residents.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to provide nursing care to patients/residents according to established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering compassionate patient care and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients/residents according to established policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Conduct assessments and implement interventions to meet the physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs of patients/residents
  • Document information and maintain accurate records
  • Act as an advocate for patients/residents and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing LPN registrant
  • Current basic cardiac life support certification
