Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Support Professional to join our team at Dengarry Professional Services Ltd.

This is a casual position with varying hours, including shift and on-call work. As a Mental Health Support Professional, you will be working with individuals with intellectual, learning, mental health, and physical disabilities in a group home setting.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and guidance to clients, helping them develop essential life skills and promoting their overall well-being. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

You will be responsible for tasks such as:

  • Assisting clients with daily activities, including housekeeping and food preparation
  • Providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention support
  • Liaising with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Coordinating community-based programs and services
  • Supervising client activities and implementing behavior management programs

We offer a competitive salary of $22.00 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications. You will also receive mileage paid and free parking available.

To succeed in this role, you must have a secondary school graduation certificate and be willing to train. A Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training and Mandt System training would be an asset. You must also possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide a criminal record check and medical exam.
