About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Hall Constructors. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing and submitting estimates on behalf of our company. This position contributes to the overall organization by bidding on various types of work and handing over successful bids to the project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit estimates for various types of work, including large-scale excavations, civil infrastructure, highway and bridge construction, underground utilities, and site development projects.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team, Chief Estimator, VP of Estimating, and Project Coordinators to deliver a competitive bid.
  • Manage all takeoffs for the estimate, including assigned Intern or Project Coordinator.
  • Read and understand contract documents and specifications.
  • Communicate with clients and sub-contractors about the estimate frequently throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate bid folders by organizing all addendums, quotes, drawings, and documents.
  • Attend all Estimator's meetings and on/off-site bid meetings.
  • Continuously update knowledge on current standards and practices in the industry.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating and project management.
  • Post-secondary education or applicable work experience.
  • Advanced understanding of Programs/Software – HeavyBid and Heavy Job (HCSS).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
