About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer and Project Manager to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Winnipeg Conveyance Team, you will be responsible for leading civil design tasks on various projects, including preparing engineering drawings, reports, and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple civil engineering projects, including preparation of fee proposals, budget tracking, and staffing and schedule management.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support project goals and objectives.
- Develop and revise documentation in various civil phases, including sketches, diagrams, and technical reports.
- Oversee contract administration services, including progress estimates, change orders, and field instructions.
- Assist in the permit/approval process, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, and governing entities.
- Coordinate technical activities and designs with team members in other disciplines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate project engineers and coordinators.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and providing site servicing and site grading designs on linear infrastructure projects in Manitoba.
- Work experience in linear infrastructure, including watermains, wastewater sewer, land drainage sewer and forcemains, lagoon design, stormwater management, and flood protection.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling and AutoCAD and Civil 3D software is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
- Travel may be required.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Interest in developing technical and/or project management specialization in a consulting environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with ability to become registered with EGM as P.Eng.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of related experience.
This is a full-time position that will primarily work in an office setting, with occasional field work or site visits.
