Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced chef who can lead our culinary team in creating delicious, authentic dishes that showcase the unique flavors and techniques of international cuisine.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing menus, training staff, and maintaining inventory and records of food supplies and equipment.
  • They will also be expected to work collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to multitask is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  2. Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  3. Maintain accurate records of inventory, including food supplies, equipment, and cleaning schedules.
  4. Clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a head chef or senior cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.

Work Environment

  • This is a full-time position requiring flexibility and availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The kitchen environment can be physically demanding, with standing for extended periods and exposure to hot temperatures and sharp objects.

Language Skills

  • Fluency in Hindi and Punjabi languages is preferred but not required.
