Mechanical Designer

At IMW Industries dba Clean Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Engineering team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our products, working closely with our team to ensure that our designs meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate concepts for components and develop detailed manufacturing designs and drawings.
- Develop engineering Bills of Materials (BOM) in our ERP system.
- Design and develop 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Establish and maintain standard toolbox libraries for 3D models.
- Control and maintain drawings according to company procedures.
- Improve drawing control procedures and company standard practices.
- Set up software systems to ensure standardized drawing formats and model generation.
- Maintain part and engineering BOM in ERP.
- Review and check drawings when assigned.
- Engineering diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in preparing manufacturing drawings for fabrication and assembly.
- Experience with machine and component layout.
- Strong understanding of fittings, materials, fasteners, sealing components, and standard parts available in industry.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience using SolidWorks for the production of layout and manufacturing drawings.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular deadlines and a high level of attention to detail. The role will involve working closely with production staff and vendors, and the ability to communicate effectively is essential.
