Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our legal department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and supervising various aspects of our commercial relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, annotate, and negotiate various contracts, including project contracts, supply contracts, leases, client service contracts, and RFPs, to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Work closely with project managers to review, negotiate, and finalize project-related contracts, including reviewing and ensuring compliance with work, insurance, and bonding requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal departments, including legal, sales, operations, and finance, to facilitate the contract approval process and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records, tracking key dates and milestones.

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries and concerns related to contracts.

  • Participate in project-related issues and contract disputes to provide legal support as needed.

  • Update and manage the contract database, used to track and analyze active contracts and upcoming deadlines.

  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • You have a degree in paralegal studies or equivalent (required).

  • You have experience in a law firm or corporate legal department (required).

  • You have 2-5 years of experience in a legal support role with experience in contract management and negotiation, experience in the construction industry is an asset.

  • You are meticulous with exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • You have strong written communication skills.

  • You are client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • You are a team player, but also capable of working independently.

  • You are able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • You are flexible and adaptable to new and changing environments.

  • You are comfortable negotiating independently with external parties.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF, and;

  • You are bilingual with strong English written and verbal skills to conduct activities with our US clients.
