Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Aide to join our team at Brij Patel Optometry Professional Corporation. As a Medical Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Medical Equipment: Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling of medical equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Patient Care and Comfort: Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, including taking patients' vital signs, weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance: Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure that we have the necessary equipment and materials to provide quality patient care.
- Transportation: Transport patients between care facilities and assist with wheelchair or stretcher transportation as needed.
- Communication: Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond accordingly.
- Pre-Surgical Preparation: Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas.
- First Aid: Administer first aid in emergency situations to ensure the well-being of our patients.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
