Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Mortgage Underwriter to join our Residential Underwriting team at First National. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all broker conditions are met prior to closing and for all interactions with the Broker to cooperatively satisfy all conditions within a mortgage commitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage files from commitment to closing, ensuring all broker conditions are met
  • Communicate with brokers via fax, email, or phone to request solicitors, funding conditions, and additional information
  • Review and satisfy documentation, including employment letters, income verification, and down payment verification
  • Organize and verify incoming faxes and documentation
  • Provide liaison and support for the funding department
  • Specialize in bridges and transfer mortgages
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Team Leader/Manager, Residential Underwriting
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience required
  • One year of mortgage experience preferred
