Lead Java Engineer

TD Securities is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our Market Risk Platform team. As a Lead Java Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality Java applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Java 8
  • Collaborate with the Market Risk Platform team to deliver business solutions
  • Work with vendors, internal IT infrastructure teams, and business partners to remediate audit findings and vulnerabilities
  • Support UAT testing and coordinate digital certificate renewals
  • Set technical direction for the product and influence architectural direction
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor team members on software development best practices and Agile methodologies
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Java development
  • Expert knowledge of business, technology standards, and project management
  • 7+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, Java 8, and Spring Security
  • Practical experience designing and developing web services using modern practices and techniques
  • Experience with databases using SQL Server and Oracle
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, and organized with strong time-management skills
