Physician Coverage Opportunity in Hospitalist Medicine

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a physician to provide coverage in Hospitalist Medicine at the QEII. The successful candidate will be responsible for seeing patients twice weekly and as needed, with hours of duty from 8am-5pm. There is no overnight call obligation, and the physician will be expected to attend weekly interdisciplinary team rounds. The ideal candidate will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and have membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
The Hospitalist Medicine Service at the QEII is seeking a physician to provide coverage for approximately 45 ALC patients cohorted at the VG Hospital. The successful candidate will be paid on a sessional basis at a rate of $/day. The ideal candidate will be available to work on a weekly basis, but we are open to half weeks or days.
Responsibilities include:
- Seeing patients twice weekly and as needed
- Attending weekly interdisciplinary team rounds
- Being available to work on a weekly basis, but we are open to half weeks or days
Qualifications include:
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
