About the Role

PCL Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering/Technical Student to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a student in our program, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop valuable skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in field engineering and technical support, including site visits and trade scope coordination
  • Contribute to project meetings and collaborate with seasoned project professionals
  • Participate in trade contractor quote reviews and bid day assignments
  • Support integrated construction technology (ICT) initiatives, including Revit modeling and clash detection
  • Assist with estimating and quantity takeoff, including specification reviews and trade scope uploads
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a civil or mechanical engineering program
  • Strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience an asset
  • Proficiency in computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting
  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup an asset
  • Access to a clean, reliable vehicle
