About This Opportunity
Coca-Cola Canada is seeking a skilled Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are readily available in local grocery stores. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between the backroom/storage room to the front-of-store with manual or powered equipment.
The Details:
This is a part-time position that will start as soon as possible. The hours will range from 20-30 hours per week with potential for up to 40 hours a week during our peak seasons. The wage for this position is $18.48 per hour, and you will also receive a KM reimbursement of $0.62 per kilometer between stores. You will work Monday to Sunday, with shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and receive a night shift premium of $1.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between the backroom/storage room to the front-of-store with manual or powered equipment.
- Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space and securing damaged or defective product.
- Repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance.
- Consistent kneeling, squatting and reaching above the head.
- Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork.
- Follow all Coca-Cola Canada and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
- Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Qualifications:
- A valid class 5 provincial driver's license.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle for use during working hours.
- Must have current vehicle liability insurance.
- Provide a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three (3) years.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing or related field preferred.
- Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working under little to no supervision preferred.
