Senior Data Quality Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Quality Specialist to join our team at Definity. As a key member of our Enterprise Data Office, you will play a critical role in facilitating the governance and standardization of our data and driving initiatives to operationalize and embed Data Governance and Management capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Data Quality Strategy: Contribute to the strategy and roadmap of the data quality program at Definity, developing plans to promote our data quality capabilities, working with business partners to identify and prioritize data quality challenges, and determining appropriate remediation solutions.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work hand-in-hand with other groups within the EDO, such as Tooling and Strategy, to help define the EDO's data quality capability and embed data quality practices within the organization.
- Facilitate Data Quality Initiatives: Facilitate cross-functional forums and working groups to implement data quality initiatives, including documenting requirements, technical rule writing, and supporting processes and reporting.
- Develop Communication and Training Materials: Develop communication, resources, and training materials for the organization for the Data Quality capability.
- Develop Data Quality Scorecards and Metrics: Develop Data Quality scorecards and metrics for the organization.
- Provide Technical and Subject Area Mentorship: Provide technical and subject area mentorship and support for colleagues.
- Education: University degree required, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or other Technology field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality or Data Analysis (insurance/financial services industry preferred).
- Skills: Experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements; knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and best practices for data quality.
- Tools and Technologies: Exposure to Data Governance or Data Quality tools (such as Collibra, IBM IIS, Informatica, etc.) and working knowledge of Big Data, Data Lakes.
- Additional Requirements: 1-2 years of SQL, BPMN and REST API experience is preferred.
- Competitive Salary Range: $66,300 - $122,100.
