About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our team at Maarut Inc. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple IT projects from initiation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project activities throughout the project lifecycle, including defining scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with IT partners and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute project plans, as well as other project documents and project-related communication.
  • Maximize the value created by the project team by ensuring focus and flow, removing impediments, escalating blockers, and managing dependencies with other teams in the organization.
  • Work with project stakeholders to ensure that goals are understood by everyone, manage the backlog, create stories and acceptance criteria, and sequence items to maximize value delivery.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including iteration planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
  • Work with a sense of urgency and demonstrate leadership skills to achieve high performance and excellent service.
  • Identify, manage, and help mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on diverse IT commitments and deliverables.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in technical discussions while effectively building relationships and influencing decisions.
  • Work and negotiate with a variety of business stakeholders and vendors.
  • Prepare and edit comprehensive project reports and other documents with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in project management and Scrum in a software development environment managing medium to large-sized projects.
  • Experience with managing project activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience in creating and executing project plans and managing projects through completion.
  • Experience in projects involving IT, IT infrastructure, and business teams.
  • Experience with a range of agile delivery techniques and tools.
  • Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to facilitate, understand, and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable communicating with IT development teams as well as business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Effective facilitation and conflict resolution skills; able to facilitate discussion of multiple approaches and drive resolution.
  • Ability to prepare and edit comprehensive reports and other documents with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and review burndown velocity and predictability reports.
  • High level of personal accountability as evidenced by commitment, resilience, ownership, and mindset toward continuous learning.
  • Hardworking, strong attention to detail, high energy, motivated, and driven to help the team excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills; able to work with diverse personality types.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Both PMP and Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe, SM) is a must.
