About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Senior Category Management Specialist to support sourcing, contracting, and category management efforts for non-merchandise areas of our business. This role will have a significant impact on supplier selection, adding value to the business, and supporting various business partners across the organization.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Support Global Category Management Teams in delivering regional and global sourcing events across assigned categories, including sourcing administration and event support.
  • Lead low to medium value/complexity strategic sourcing initiatives and implement category strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional/cross-regional teams to drive value for the business while maintaining high-quality service standards.


Requirements:


  • Minimum 3 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or related experience, preferably in the retail industry, managing multinational business partners and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of RFx requirements, including sourcing event structure, selecting suppliers to participate, building RFx criteria, and deciding upon timing, length, type, and complexity of RFI, RFP, and/or e-Auction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to influence business partners, prioritize activities and resources to meet organizational needs, build rapport, and credibility as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions, leverage prior experience, and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions and revise business strategies to support the organization's vision.
  • Good problem-solving skills, including analysis of information, providing solutions with cost implications to effectively resolve issues and execute strategic solutions.
