Job Summary:

Hopewell Residential Management LP is seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Supervisor with general laborer tasks, including excavation, demolition, and site clean-up.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Site Supervisor, which may include setting up and breaking down workstations and scaffolding, minor carpentry, tool maintenance, and punch list tasks.
  • Operate hand and power tools, and maintain a high level of physical fitness to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and climbing.
  • Ensure job sites are clean and safe, and report any hazards or oversights to the Site Supervisor.
  • Assist with material deliveries, unloading trucks, and storing materials.
  • De-ice, shovel snow, and supply heat to homes under construction in winter.
  • Mark excavated areas, trenches, and holes for safety.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks on interior and exterior of model homes.

Requirements:

  • General construction safety knowledge.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Reliability.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Criminal Background check required.
  • Ability to lift on a daily basis (weights may reach 50+ pounds).
  • Valid CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid Certifications, Fall Arrest, and Lift Equipment courses an asset.

Working Conditions:

This is a field position that requires travel between designated job sites. Traditional core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, but work may be required occasionally on weekends and/or evenings.
